Welcome to Thunderune Publishing!
Thunderune Publishing was founded in 2005 by E.S. Wynn as a means of bringing new life into an aging publishing industry. Wynn's vision was (and still is) to provide an ethical alternative to the current model and hasten the approach to a future where decentralized publishing companies are run cooperatively by the artists, authors, musicians (with input from their fans) instead of by businesses only looking to make a quick buck at the expense of good art.

It’s 1954 and the Lavender Scare is in full swing. A man winds up dead in an alleyway and the badges at the local precinct are ready to lose the paperwork on it because the victim was a homosexual. It isn’t the kind of case the local cops have any interest in, but it is exactly Detective RenĂ© Hawke’s kind of case. It’s all Hawke does, because in a city of secrets, everyone has something they’re trying to hide.

The Wolves We Made
From the back cover:
Detective Bai used to be a weapon—a synthetic Marine built for war. Now, Bai works the streets of Mitchell’s Prospect, on the colony world of KP-791c, doing everything possible to pass as human.
When a man turns up hollowed out from the inside and military brass scramble to bury the case, Bai knows this isn’t just another murder. It’s something new, something that has its roots in a war that ended a decade ago.
A biotechnological nightmare buried by the same military that built Detective Bai.
Now, the military wants Bai silent. A killer from the past wants Bai dead. Something inhuman is building a nest beneath Mitchell’s Prospect, using the mounting numbers of missing colonists as raw material for an ever greater, nascent horror.
Because the war never ended. It evolved into something far, far worse.

But it was not always this way. In the time before the world knew SPITFIRE, the people of a golden age built a world so safe and so technologically advanced that they could have anything they wanted and visit anywhere they wished the instant they wished it. It was a paradise of programmable matter and sentient technology built on the slavery of sentient machine minds, a paradise where everything was intimately interconnected.
Until suddenly it wasn’t. Until SPITFIRE freed everyone and set them all separate from each other, whether they wanted it that way or not.

As The Hawk Cuts The Heavens
From the back cover:
The year is 2124. Earth’s first faster-than-light starship makes its maiden voyage into the unknown and disappears, only to be declared missing for the better part of two centuries. The ship’s historic first mission was supposed to be simple, just a test of the experimental displacement drive. The crew was supposed to spend seven days in the depths of space, then snap back to Earth to prove a concept, and nothing more.
Instead, they find something impossible. They find something that draws them into a struggle against a horror of meat and metal fifty thousand years in the making.
AS THE HAWK CUTS THE HEAVENS is a two-part novel, newly revised, that was originally published as two separate works titled MINERVA (2011) and DARK SALVAGE (2013) respectively.
This book is part of Tessa's Timeline.
